China trade shows 2010 The 11th Western China International Economy & Trade Fair

The Western China International Economy and Trade Fair (or WCIETF) is co-sponsored by National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce of PRC and other nine Central government level departments, together with 12 Western provinces (Autonomous Regions, Municipality) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. Since its launch, it has been successfully held for 9 years, now it has become a great event for commodity displays, investment talks, business exchanges and high level forums.

Since its launch in 2000, the fair sticks to the co-sponsorship, benefit-sharing and synergy of the Western Region for promoting the opening-up of the region. It continuously plays an important role as the platform of diplomacy, investment promotion and trade cooperation so as to accelerate the regional and international economic and trade cooperation.

Several State leaders, vice-presidents, Minister-level government officials, representatives from economic organizations, came to join the conference and fairs in succession. Now, the fair maintains a good cooperation relationship with more than 100 foreign economic and trade organizations. Statistics data shows that the attending enterprises of the previous 9 fairs reached 16, 542 with an exhibition area of 440, 000 m2. More than 350 high level forums and economic business events were held. 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities from mainland China organized their exhibitions and attended the conferences.

The fair will continue to play an important role as "the platform of diplomacy", “the platform of investment promotion” and “the platform of economic-trade cooperation”, becoming the grand fair for synergy and development.
