Introduction
The China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) is the largest and most influential exhibition on science and technology in China, regarded as the No. 1 Chinese exhibition in this industry.
The CHTF will present 6 sections, namely Commercialization of Technological Innovation, Specialized Show, Forums, super-SUPER Special Events, Hi-tech Human and Intellectual Resource Exchange, and the Year-Round Fair. It covers transactions, product shows, forums, business investment, and cooperation, trying to draw together resources from governments, industries, colleges, capital and intermediates to facilitate domestic and foreign exhibitors and visitors to find projects, technologies, products, markets, capital and human resources.
Since its debut in 1999, the CHTF has been receiving substantial attention and great support from Chinese government. So far, it has witnessed the presence of Zhu Rongji, Wu Bangguo, Li Changchun, Wu Yi, Zeng Yanpei and many other national leaders. Each year, all the 31 provinces, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan will send their delegations to the exhibition, and nearly 30 domestic colleges will also come to show their research results. The CHTF receives the same recognition overseas. Customers from over 50 countries have been on its exhibition floor, including the United States, Britain, Germany, Canada, Australia, Italy, Russia and EU. Over 40 well-known multinationals have been seen in the CHTF, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Siemens, British Telecom, Ericsson, Philips, SAP, Sony, and Samsung, to name a few only. More than 400 global celebrities have given speeches at CHTF forums, including Nobel Prize winners, government officials (at least ministers), and presidents of multinationals. Every time, CHTF would receive more than 500, 000 people, and fix a total of 13 billion US dollars in terms of product and technical transactions.Large, professional, effective, and international, the CHTF is an important window for Chinese hi-tech to show its best to the world. It is playing an increasingly important role in international economic and technological cooperation, and will help hi-tech research results to be quickly commercialized on the international market.
