China Petroleum Engineering & Construction (Group) Corporation (hereinafter referred to as ¡§CPECC¡¨) is a state-owned enterprise mainly engaged in contracting projects of petroleum industry, petrochemical industry and other related industries. It is one of the largest enterprises in China for contracting international projects and is fully owned by China National Petroleum Corporation (hereinafter referred to as ¡§CNPC¡¨)
CPECC has a history of 40 plus years and began to undertake contracting international projects and supplying labor services in 1981 at the State Council¡¦s approval. In 2000, with the further implementation of China¡¦s Reform and Opening-up Policy, CNPC restructured its departments for overseas project contracting, technical services and material export and thus formed a company which is called CNPC SERVICES & ENGINEERING LTD. CPECC became the full capital subsidiary of CNPC SERVICES & ENGINEERING LTD. and holds the status of independent legal entity.
