How to develop an effective working relationship with your interpreter in China. Here are some good advises. When you are doing business in China, whether you are good at Chinese language or not, you'd better choose a local interpreter to work with you.Regional differece in China is very big, especially between the North and the South. Each situation and each person is different,so follow these actions.
1.Remember that your interpreter is a person.Speak clearly at normal volume and moderate speed.Your interpreter may not be able to hear you,if you speak too softly or too quickly.Don't shout or speak too loudly either.2.Give the interpreter time to let him relay it.pause every logical idea.Don't speak several sentences one time and let others wait for you.
3.Be clear about your meaning and your intent. The more clear you communicate, the easier it is to interpret for you.
4.Always using common, standard language and simple sentences.Culturally-based references are extremely difficult to interpret. The interpreter may not fully understand or be able to convey all the subtleties the language allows.
